Ravel Morrison has completed his move from Manchester United to West Ham United.
The midfielder, who has courted controversy of the field, refused to sign a new deal at Old Trafford prompting boss Sir Alex Ferguson to offload him.
The 18-year-old has signed a three-and-a-half-year deal at Upton Park believed to be worth around £1 million including add-ons.
Hammers boss Sam Allardyce believes Morrison will benefit from a ‘change in environment’.
“Ravel is a talented lad and if he really wants to be a player then we will help him as much as we can along the way,” he told the London Evening Standard.
“Perhaps a change of environment will be beneficial to him and help him make that step up to first team football quicker than perhaps would have been the case at Manchester United.
“There is no doubt he has exceptional talent.”
