Inter Milan legend Dejan Stankovic could be joining up with Premier League new boys West Ham as Sam Allardyce continues to reshape the squad ahead of the big kick-off.

The 33-year-old Serbian international has just entered the final year of his deal after completing eight highly successful seasons in Milan.

He has made 317 appearances in all competitions and secured five Serie A titles and a Champions League winners medals.

The former Lazio midfielder may, however, struggle to land a work permit, reducing his chances of securing a deal.

But there could be an agreement with Chelsea over a loan move for outcast striker Romelu Lukaku who has made clear his desire to play regular first-team football.

The Blues shelled out £17.4million for the Belgium international in August last year.

But he only started one match last term and made clear his unhappiness at being sidelined under Andre Villas-Boas and Roberto Di Matteo.
